I am shocked to hear the Glyn and Tim have been sacked on Friday ... They bring Local Lads to play in the Local Football Team Run a excellent U18's Last Season, Take the U21s on.. And then a New Face comes in a sacks them... And this is how we want to run the football club!!! Glyn and Tim you will be missed and I am sure players will follow you

If that is true, then it bears out the fact that when a 'new broom' arrives, he / they will usually make a 'clean sweep' of all departments and hope that the new 'brush marks' installed pay dividends and hopefully produce a possible 'Rembrandt' at seasons end.
Talking of Rembrandts i see Luke Blewden scored twice for Ton Angels yesterday.

Interesting to see that there were 3 under 18 players in the first team squad for Sats Game. My understanding was that if they were under 18 then they would be playing in the under 18's. I know this was a big reason for Glyn and Tim in the under 21's who were fighting for the younger lads to be given a chance at the higher levels.
Interesting that now they have gone the rules have changed. Maybe it was because their faces didn't fit???
I also hear on the grapevine that they were only told via Text as well.
Laughable

Still no manager in place for under 21 team, even though Simon said he would have one in place within a week after the sackings. Detected unrest in the players on Wednesday at Ardingly. Perhaps the sackings were too hasty.

Rumour has it that the fella who used to run Lewis Under 18's and is now a coach for the first team is meant to be the manager. Meant to be running it from day 1. Id put my mortgage on the fact he takes over 'to fill in a gap' until a new manager is appointed (which they never will). Glyn was brilliant with the lads and the club should do all they can to bring him back.

Totally agree about Glyn. The training is a mixture of u18, u21 and 1st team, but without a Manager to 'manage' them they just do not know what they are supposed to be doing. They do not have a direct contact who informs them about training etc. The U21s are in 'no mans land'. They are unsure of their future at the moment, having a Manager to organise friendlies for them (like u18 and 1st teams) would give them some hope and help them to become a team. the first match is on 29th August, if they do well it will be because of the lads skills, not their management.

Massive rumour is that they are going to pull the 21's out of the league due to lack of players and just keep the under 18's and the first team. Can anybody confirm this?

What a huge kick in the teeth for the U21s, there were more than enough players that attended the trials. If there are no longer enough players it is because they have left due to no management!! (due to Manager and Coach being sacked). Was this the plan all along? Lets give the U21s a false sense of hope and then kick them in the teeth before the season commences! If this rumour is indeed true then the management should be ashamed of themselves for treating these lads with such a lack of empathy, I hope that someone does not do the same to their dreams, because it does not feel very nice (understatement)
